Welcome to the Phoenix Club Dover. Formally known as the British Rail Staff Association until 1990, when the railway was then privatised and the club became a Members Social club and available to any family to join for an annual fee. It was then renamed by the members to become The Phoenix Railway Club.
Functions Hall: This is a large hall with fully staffed private bar available for hire, which has the capacity for 200 guests. It can be adapted to accommodate small or large functions, with or without disco. Full information about the function hall and services available click here. We also offer facilities to play sports such as darts, pool, crib, and skittles. The games facility features a Big screen TV for live sports coverage. To find out more about the games facilities click here. Weekly Events: Every week there are many events and meetings held within the social club. Mixed Darts, Skittles, Pool and Crib teams play weekly and are always looking for new members to join them. Ask the bar staff and they will contact the relevant captains, or send an email to the steward. Weekly sessions of Keep-Fit are held every Tuesday morning and Wednesday evenings in the main hall. Bingo is held every Thursday evenings in the main hall. A Family Night Disco is held every month, on a Friday or Saturday evening from 7pm - 11.30pm. Come and learn to jive, with The Dover Jive Club. Held on Tuesday evenings. 7pm - 10pm. Adults £2, Children £1. All very friendly and no need to come with a partner. We cater for absolute beginners, to those that know how to Jive and want to come along and dance and have some fun. |
